Performance tweaks (mostly for older machines)

• Run sysdm.cpl and in the Advanced tab under Performance, select Settings…. In the Visual Effects tab, select Adjust for best performance.

• Go into the Background apps settings page (ms-settings:privacy-backgroundapps) and disable Let apps run in the background.

• Go into the Ease of Access—Display settings page (ms-settings:easeofaccess-display) and disable Show transparency in Windows.
